American Monsters quick review

I loved the ending! ... Sort of. (Oh, major spoilers).

I loved that Amber got everything she wanted. She might have lost a few things along the way, but she accomplished the three things on her list. I liked the ending because of that and because her and Kelly and Glen (Yey! Glen is okay!) are all together and fighting the monsters.

It's one of the few books were I've actually got very little to complain about. There's just one... Very small... Thing...

I feel like, if Derek Landy read my previous post, he'd get to the paragraph about Milo and Amber's relationship and just laugh. He'd be laughing because, when I wrote that, I was so completely oblivious of what was to come. I even joked about it! I actually joked about hoping nothing would happen! And look what happened!

Because the one thing I am definitely not happy about... is Milo.

And that's all I'm going to say.

American Monsters first impressions

Okay, so I'm 168 pages in, so it isn't really first impressions, but oh well. I meant to stop earlier, but cliff-hangers got the better of me. I've stopped now because I just finished chapter 22 and OH MY GOODNESS! I've never been so annoyed at a book before. Well, I have, but this makes it high up the list and I just had to stop now or I never would.

I've got my little notes here, ready to type away...

So this book is definitely smaller than Desolation. I've not got Demon Road handy to compare it to, but it I much smaller than the sequel. And there seems to me like there's a lot of questions to answer before the end (though one which I did have has already been addressed in chapter 22): what's the deal with Milo and Demoriel? What happened to Kelly and her group? Could there be books based on those two? Milo's past and their adventures? What's going on with Glen? There's a lot of unresolved things that better be addressed by the end of the book because I hate it when things are left hanging in a series that isn't going to be continued.

I'm liking the plot so far. I like that we've had a look into Amber's job with the Shining Demon and how that works and I like that we've seen where she's at with her parents. I'm also liking the sort of flashbacks to her brother, though I don't really understand it, so hopefully that will be explained, too.

As I've said before, I love Amber and Milo's relationship. I love that Milo is so devoted to helping Amber. He mentions money again, and states that he's not there for the money, and that he's there to help her. He also offers to let Betty kill him, so Amber can get revenge on her parents: "I shoot him, she shoots me. You can get her then." He then offers again: "I think if I shoot him... and she shoots me, you can get her then." It's sort of an unhealthy relationship, though. Like, Amber agreed to be the representative to save Milo... that's obviously a huge thing to do. And he offered to die so she could get her revenge. But they are so close and I'm so glad they have each other... I hope nothing happens... Oh God, something's going to happen, isn't it?

The relationship between Amber and the Charger is also something that's been made obvious over the books. It's weird that it's able to prefer certain people, but in a good way. I like that it has a special connection to Amber, and that it has accepted her.

Oh! And the trucker guy that's after them! Looking forward to seeing where that goes.

The humour and jokes, as always with Landy's writing, are perfect for my sense of humour. I'm such a plonker, I laugh at anything, but I just find it so funny. Like when they're in the cornfield and this happens:
"Do you miss it?"
"Corn?"
"School?"
I just find it funny...

And finally... I'm pretty sure Derek Landy is a Supernatural fan. Am I the only one that has noticed while reading these books? Maybe it's just me being such a massive fan of the show, but I've seen so many references that seem so obvious to me stretched out over all of the books. Maybe it's just me? But it seems like too many times to be coincidence. Like, I just happened to relate all of these things back to Supernatural? But it seems like his kind of show? I don't know.

Anyway, loving American Monsters so far. Really annoyed at how chapter 22 just ended! But we'll see how it goes, and see if my many, many questions are answered!

Looking forward to Skulduggery series 2!

Alice Through the Looking Glass

Hello

So, I love movies. Movies and books and TV shows are everything to me. They're all I want to fill my time with. I love adventures and beautiful make-believe worlds. I've mentioned it loads before, but my favourite series is made up completely of a world unknown to normal humans, but it is huge and worldwide and filled with magic.

They're my favourite stories. The ones with magic and things that aren't possible in this world, but that have been made up in someone's head. I love that people think of these wonderfully ridiculous things, and make them real through writing. I love reading it and living in these people's worlds just for a little while, and seeing what they've thought up.

When I write, I write about adventures that I would love to go on. I write about things that I would love to happen to me, people I would love to meet and places I would love to visit. I write about things that I could never do, but can make possible in my stories.

That's what I love about Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass. I love that she is able to go to this beautiful and crazy world. I love the characters she meets and that she goes on these incredible adventures that could never happen in her real world, but that she gets to live in Underland. And I get to go with her.

I especially love the characters. Alice herself is great because she's a strong female lead and I love that she gets things done and I love that she believes so strongly that anything is possible. The Hatter, of course, is my favourite. I love the way they made him look, with the too big eyes and bright hair. Time wasn't how I expected him to be from watching the trailer, he was better than I thought and not as mean. He basically spent the whole movie trying to save everyone by putting back what Alice stole, because really Alice did put everyone in danger to save the Hatter's family. I also forgot that Andrew Scott made an appearance until I saw him. And of course, me being a huge Sherlock fan, I totally flipped out and gushed over him for the entire time he was on the screen.

I've seen so many rubbish reviews about this movie. It was rated 30% on Rotten Tomatoes. But I couldn't care less about what the reviews are saying. I loved the movie. I loved the story and the characters as much as the first one. I loved seeing a younger Hatter and learning about the background of the Red Queen, and why she is the way she is.

I suppose these critics must know better than me, they've been watching movies and reviewing them for much longer than I have. I'm just a 17 year-old girl who loves to get swept away in the story. For me, Alice Through the Looking Glass was as amazing and entertaining as the first, and they both make it high up my list of favourite movies. Basically, if you loved the first one, then I think you'll love the second.

There was also a dedication at the end to Alan Rickman, which I really wasn't expecting. He voiced the caterpillar, Absolum, and the little message at the end was just a perfect way to remember him and the loss of such an amazing actor.

I think I've made it clear by how many times I've written 'I love' throughout this post about how I feel about this movie.

Never stop fangirling (or boying, whichever you prefer) :)

Good-bye

July favourites

Hi!

I meant to get this post up earlier, but other things kept getting in the way.

Everybody does this. A monthly favourites thing. It's done a lot on YouTube, but I don't have a YouTube account (yet... I have considered it).

So, here are some of the things I liked during/about July!

Desolation
Desolation is the second book in the Demon Road trilogy by Derek Landy. It carries on the story of Amber as she drives across the country to outrun the Hounds of Hell.

It's actually a pretty good book. Usually middle books annoy me, but Desolation was great. The relationship between Amber and Milo is one of my favourite things! Similar to that of Skulduggery and Valkyrie's in Landy's other series, the two are close and work well together. Milo is no longer getting paid to help Amber. He is there completely of his own free will. I don't think the Hounds are chasing him? He could have ditched Amber at any point, but he chose to stay. That's what I love. He's there for no other reason other than that he cares about Amber and wants to help her.

There's so much more I could say, but I don't want to ruin it for potential readers. The book is a perfect sequel, and I can't wait for the third.

London
At the start of July I was in London. I loved it and didn't want to come home. It's such a beautiful place! I've been to London a few times now, and I've seen all the tourist things and shopped on Oxford Street and been on the Underground. But this time seemed different somehow. We went on the open top bus tour and it was so relaxing just to sit on this bus and be shown all the different spots and be told about the history. Then it started to rain... but we didn't care. My mum and sister sat behind me underneath an umbrella and I put on my jacket, still snapping away with my camera.

It was just an amazing holiday. But if I went back I would want to go either alone or with friends. Being with my mum and sister meant that I couldn't do the things that I wanted to do that they didn't. I want to go to all the markets and book stores and the little places that are sort of hidden away from the bustle of the city. So it's a definite for me to go back.

It's a beautiful city, and I would move there in a heartbeat if I had the chance. I love the busy streets and the history. I want to travel, but I also want to live on a farm and have horses and animals, but I also want to live in a big city...

Pandora rings
I love my Pandora rings! I wear them every day I'm not at work. I just think they're so pretty and comfortable. The top is the July birthstone (I think), and isn't actually my birthstone, but I knew it would go perfectly with the ring I already had. The one on the bottom I got for my birthday. I think they go so great together and at the moment they're my favourite piece of jewellery (not including my necklace, which will always be special to me). I love them!

Disney Life
My next favourite thing from July is Disney Life. It's basically Netflix but with all things Disney. I used the month free trial and loved it! It has all the movies, all the TV shows, everything! The one thing I will say about it, is that it has a section for Marvel, but none of the Marvel movies. But apart from that it seems to have everything. I watched Kim Possible from the start, Eight Below (which I used to watch when I was younger and was so glad they had) and Home on the Range, among loads of other things.

It's the perfect thing for all Disney lovers. And at just £9.99 per month, it's pretty cheap.

Skulduggery Pleasant
Last, but far from least, is my favourite book series ever: Skulduggery Pleasant! This book series tops my favourite list for a billion reasons. One, as an example, is that the humour is perfect for me. Skulduggery is so sarcastic and snarky and he constantly makes me laugh. I don't even care that it's a children's book series. The way it's written and some of the things that happen make it seem, to me, as if it's meant for older kids, the ones sort of verging on the edge of YA. I can't put into words how I feel about this series and the reason it makes the list this month...

He's bringing it back! Derek Landy is writing a second series of my beloved books! I cried, I laughed, I might have peed a little with excitement. It can't come soon enough!

(Just because I'm a fangirl, and in proper fangirl fashion, I'd like to express my dream to play the part of Valkyrie if these books were turned into movies. I don't care how annoying it is for me to say, but that would genuinely be like... ugh!)

So! There's my favourites things from July! These are just some of the things I have enjoyed from last month and hopefully I'll be able to do something like this for every month!

Let me know if you have any opinions on anything in the list!

Bye!

Tough Mudder

Bonjour!

I don't know if anyone else has actually even heard of Tough Mudder. I think it's an American thing? It's basically a 10 mile long course covered in mud (duh) that's designed to be like a military style thing with obstacles. Anyway, I discovered it after seeing pictures and interviews of the Supernatural cast doing it.

So, obviously, I had to see this video.

It's a half hour long video that can be found on Osric Chau's YouTube channel (but not in some areas, I can't get onto it anymore. Here's a link to a different site if you're like me: https://vimeo.com/151688683) which show the boys - Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Osric Chau, Richard Speight Jr, Jason Manns and Rob Benedict - going through the course.

Being a major Supernatural fan (if you're not, you obviously haven't seen the show because it's impossible not to love it) it was SO MUCH FUN to watch the guys do Tough Mudder. The way it's filmed is from their point of view, so you feel like you're actually there with them. I didn't stop smiling the whole way through.

I love seeing them helping each other out and the way they interact with each other. I've been a fan of Supernatural for ages now and I've seen too many interviews to count, seen photos, the show, the gag reel, but this is different somehow. They're just a bunch of guys working together to complete this course with no fans around them and no film crew.
I'm not explaining this very well, I don't have enough experience with writing to be able to put into words what I'm thinking. Basically, the cast are incredible, it's a cool video, go watch it.

They said they're going to do it again this year - really hoping they do! - and a few of the others might be going. They said they wanted Misha Collins to go! I love Misha, he's such an amazing person. I just registered for Gishwhes (the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen) which is happening from the 30th July to the 6th August and is exactly what it says in the name. If you haven't signed up already and you love to help others while also having a ton of fun, then you should definitely check this out. It costs a small fee to register, but nothing that's going to bankrupt you. This is my first year, and I'm hoping it's going to be as good as I've heard it is!

Right, go enjoy the Tough Mudder video!

Au revoir!

Assassin's Creed

Mooooooorning... Well, afternoon now but morning sounds better

I've been watching Joe Sugg's Uncharted 3 videos (which you should go watch, they're really funny, I'll leave a link to the first one) and I really liked the look of the game. So I thought, why not buy the first one? So I did and along with it I bought another game which I've wanted to try for ages which is Assassin's Creed. Now, I hate to start things halfway through, so I have the first one.

I really like it. Its just a very annoying game to play. I love the stealthy stuff and climbing the buildings and all that jazz, but sometimes the dude (what's his name? Altair. Like Alistair but with a few letters missing) doesn't do what I want him to and I get killed. That's not me making excuses. It really does happen.

One thing that really bugs me is the soldiers. I hate it when I'm just minding my own business, wandering through the towns or travelling on my horse and they start chasing me! I wasn't even doing anything! And I try to do that blend thing but they chase me anyway! And then obviously I can't find a stupid hay stack so I have to fight them and he never runs away when I tell him to.

I've gotten good at sneaking around them to get to the watch towers. I love to climb up them to do the leap of faith. That's like my favourite thing EVER. There was one time I did it and I left my horse behind and there's sometimes horses beside the hay stacks you land in so that if you've left your horse behind you still have one but I didn't want a new one. I waited to see if my horse would come down and when it didn't I considered going back up to get it. I had to remind myself that it's a game and the horses aren't real. I still feel bad for leaving my original horse.

It is a good game though. I just didn't realise that it's actually set in the future and you're playing memories. All the trailers make it out to be just a game in the 1100's, so when it started in the future I was a bit surprised.

I've not played a lot of the game. I've been too busy running around saving citizens and stuff. But what I have played has been good and I would recommend it to people who like the stealthy sort of games and those who have played games like Uncharted and want to play something a bit different. I don't really know if what I'm saying is true - I'm not some professional gamer. I'm just a girl who happens to like playing games and doesn't talk about the technical stuff like graphics or whatever.

Of course, most people probably wouldn't buy the first one, they'd start later on. Especially if you have a PlayStation 4, which I don't. Anyway, buy it, don't buy it, it's up to you. But I like it.

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon #4

I'm bored again! And you know what that means? It's time for the next chapter of Spyro!

This is one of my least favourite levels... I think it's because I used to think it was hard so didn't look forward to it, but it's actually really easy. The thought stuck though and I never look forward to this part of the game.

So without further ado, the bonuses of this chapter are:

9 Blue gems
3 Red gems
2 Green gems
3 Chests of Armour
and no elite enemies for this level

This level is called Dragon City. It starts with a cutscene of Hunter leading the dragons and Sparx to the city where they find out that the war has started against Malefor's army. We then get separated from Hunter and have to save some Mole's from a burning building. You can ignore the Grublins that appear. If you fight them I'm sure they just keep coming back. The first thing you need to do is empty the water into the pool opposite the burning building. To get to the wheel, turn around and it's to the right of the pool. Around the corner is a courtyard and against the left wall is the wheel you need to turn. Enemies appear when you're turning it and if you try you can get the pool filled before they attack so you don't need to fight them but it's not always possible.

This is also where we meet a new enemy. The red tall guys shoot arrows at you but I find are easily killed with Cynder's Shadow power. When they're in the air just jump up and grab them and tap triangle to kill them. You might need to do it a few times. When you've filled the pool the enemies that are left disappear. Before you leave, get the first Green gem that is against the same wall as the wheel, tucked into one of the little doorway bits.

Now you need to get the buckets to fill from the pool. Go back through to where the pool is and head straight on underneath the bridge part with the dragon statues on top. Follow the path through to a second courtyard and on the right there's a switch to pull down to open the door to the buckets. Get both dragons to carry one through - they don't weigh you down like orbs - and fly them over the pool where they'll be filled. Then just fly over to the burning building to put out the fire. You'll need to go back and get a third bucket to put out the fire completely.

The moles are saved and there's a cutscene about the war and war machines and stuff. Before you go dancing off to war though, there's a few gems and things around this area. First, there's the black gate to the left of the burning building. For this, use Cynder's Shadow power and she can move underneath it. There's a switch you can use to let Spyro in, but she can get the gem on her own and get back out without him. There's a Red gem in here. Come back out and to the left you'll see a broken support beam thing with a vine on it. Up here is another black gate with an Armour Chest. I got a back plate for Cynder, I'm not sure if yours will be the same.

Okay, opposite the gate is a dragon bowl thing. Blow on it with Spyro's Fire and it'll light another flame at a door with a Red gem inside. There's three to find. Now jump across to the first Blue gem. Go to the first courtyard where the wheel was for the pool. On the back wall there's vines to a ledge with a horn. Like earlier, use Cynder's Wind power and another ledge will drop opposite with the second fire bowl. Again, blow on it with Spyro's Fire.

Fly back around to the bit where you go the buckets. Here is where the door is with the Red gem behind it. Just to the left of that is another Blue gem. There's also a second one up the stairs to the right of that. On the same level as this blue gem is the third fire bowl. Once this one is lit the door opens to the Red gem. Now we can go to war! Follow the stairs up (make sure to save) and you'll reach a little room where the moles are waiting. Use the lever to open the door and, before you go, stock up on your life and mana. Follow the stairs up, and you'll watch a cutscene.

When the cutscene ends, go back a little and behind the broken pillar is a Blue gem. On your way over to the catapult is a square area with mana and life gems and also a Green gem. (Before I go on! Make sure to fly everywhere here. Especially when moving up and down between the two squares and the catapult. There's a brilliant moment when a fire ball thing hits the wall and it goes in slow motion for a second and it's so cool when you're flying. I'm going to try and get a picture but make sure to fly!) Head over to the catapult and there will be a Blue gem if you walk towards the camera. Continue past the catapult to the left square where there's a Red gem.

By this point you might need to repair the catapult. Beside it is a little hole thing and you just press circle then tap square and the life bar in the corner will slowly rise. You have to hang about it for a minute and kill some Grublins and eventually he'll ask you to reload by flipping the switch on the wall bit behind the catapult. After you do this there'll be another cutscene and then you'll have to defeat the first Siege tower. Repair the catapult a bit before you go.

Okay, to do this quickly you risk getting killed but it's the easiest and fastest way. When you first go in use Cynder's Shadow power to get them all in the air. Make sure to stay away from the crystal at first because it sucks away all your mana. After that, just keep hitting the crystal with triangle and try and ignore the enemies when they hit you. If Cynder's life gets low, switch to Spyro. When it's gone, fly back to the catapult where you might need to repair it.

I only got really rubbish photos of the slow motion bit but it's so cool!!

Now we have to go help our little mole friend. Follow him along and he'll stop every time a thing drops with enemies. It's just a bunch of Grublins and tall red guys who are easy to kill with Cynder's Shadow and a little bit of the grabbing technique. About halfway through you'll probably need to repair the catapult. When he's back you'll need to reload, there will be another cutscene then you'll have to fight the Grublins for a bit before the second Siege Tower appears. Same as before: Cynder's Shadow, triangle on the crystal, try to ignore the enemies, when the crystal breaks get out of there as fast as possible. When that's done, go back and reload the catapult and the next cutscene will play.

Okay! Last two Siege Towers. Take your pick for which one you do first. (Make sure to keep repairing the catapult when it needs it). I'm going to go... right. Same technique: Shadow, crystal, leave. Same for the left side. When that's done reload for our catapult friend one more time and you'll see the last cutscene for this part. And don't worry! The big green guy is not as scary as he looks.

Stock up one life and mana - especially for Spyro - then head down the stairs. In this little courtyard there's a few blue gems. If you climb up the vines where the broken stairs should be, there's two Blue gems on two different levels. There's another Blue gem beside the save point and a Chest of Armour, too. Climb up the vines, jump across to the other ledge and climb up the second set of vines and you'll get to the courtyard with the green guy.

First, go to the left and there'll be a black gate for Cynder with a Blue gem. Like I said, this guy is easy to defeat. Use Spyro's Lightning power and zap him. If you hit him with triangle while zapping him every so often, it doesn't take long to defeat him. Plus, you get mana gems when you hit him so you don't have to fill up your mana bar. Basically, every time he gets close to hitting you or jumping, zap him with Lightning. I find I can get Spyro to hit him two or three times (with me rapidly tapping triangle) before I have to zap him again. When he's gone the fire bowls will go out and a Chest of Armour will appear.

At this point, you have to be careful. If you close the gates and get rid of all the enemies before getting the armour chest then you leave it behind. Light the two fire bowls first then get rid of the first wave of enemies or get them all in the air with Cynder's Shadow power and quickly get the chest. When the chest is done, put the enemies in the air again with Shadow (they fight each other when you do this, too. So you don't have to worry about them for a few seconds) and close the doors. When they're closed stay next to them because two or three times you'll need to push them closed again or they'll open back up. When the fire is in the middle the doors will seal and that's the end of this level. You'll watch a cutscene showing Golem coming back who you spend the next chapter fighting.

Hope you enjoyed this instalment! Next one will be up next time I play!

Byeeeee!

The end

Hullo

That's me done! High school is over. I finished my last day of school EVER! Not including exams of course, but they aren't really proper school days, are they?

It was a bit of an anti-climax if I'm honest. Nothing really... happened. I spent the whole day in the library with friends and it was actually quite boring. I didn't cry or get upset like I thought I would. I was pretty much completely indifferent. I don't really care that school's over. I'm not even really that bothered that I probably won't see most of those people again. I'm looking forward to the next part too much - looking forward to college and making new friends.

High school isn't where I'm supposed to be. I don't know where that place is, but high school isn't it.

I'm looking forward to whatever the hell happens to me next. I want to get out there and experience new things. I'm fed up being stuck in this stupid town. What teenager doesn't feel like that, though? How cliché that I want to move away. But I don't want to just move away. I want to travel. I want to see exciting things and cultures. I want to see everything and do whatever I want.

If only it was that easy.

Next year I'm going to college, so I'm not even finished with school. Hopefully college will be better. But I don't think I'm a school person. I don't like learning, I like experiencing.

It's so strange that I won't be going back. I've been looking at that building five days out of the week for almost six years, and now... I won't be. I don't think it has properly sunk in yet. Or maybe it has and I just really don't care. I've been waiting to feel something - upset or nostalgic - but when I was leaving school all I was thinking about was watching Doctor Who (Eleven, though! Love him so much!).

I guess I'll keep doing what I've been doing. I'll work towards being an air hostess in the hope of travelling a little. I'll read, watch my favourite shows, and write my stories. I reckon I'll change a lot over the next few years, but I doubt I'll ever grow tired of reading, watching and writing. That's probably why I want to travel so much: I want to experience adventures like the characters I love.

It's just a shame I can't do it with them, or experience their wonderful worlds.

Here's me! High school leaver one step closer to... the next part... whatever that is.

Bye :)

Deleting things by accident

NOOOOOOOO!

I can't even write my usual 'hullo'! I just can't!

It's SO FRUSTRATING!

I have Pinterest, right? And I've become totally obsessed with it and have a bunch of different boards and stuff and one of those was titled 'books'.

And in it I had LOADS OF REALLY GOOD STUFF FOR WRITING BOOKS AND HELPFUL TIPS AND JUST EVERYTHING AND IT WAS PERFECT.

AND I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED IT!

I didn't realise at first. I was trying to delete just one pin, and I must have pushed the wrong button or something. I went back and after a second was like... Why does it say I only have 7 boards?

IT'S BECAUSE I DELETED IT.

I'm so angry with myself. It's so frustrating when it happens and you know you can't bring it back. So, of course, I'm trying to find the pins that was in it, but there was over 100 and it's just not the same.

I'm so annoyed at myself.

It reminds me of a time I accidentally saved over one of my Sims games...

I used to play Sims 3 all the time on the PlayStation 3. I had loads of different games but there was one that was special: the first game that I ever made.

This one had me. Like, I had made a Sim to be like me and look like me and it had my name. She had a husband and kids and her kids had husbands and whatever. I had built this game up from scratch over what must have been at least a year. They had quite a bit of money and their skills were really high and they were in good jobs. I had recently died (I was upset but had a chat with the Grim Reaper so it's all good) and I decided to move the rest of my family to a new house. So, we moved and I made this beautiful new house and saved it and everything was perfect.

Then I played one of my other games...

And...

I saved it over my first game.

I cried. I genuinely cried. It was just the shock and anger at myself. The fact that I was never going to get that game back. I tried to recreate it. I made all the Sims and moved them into the same house but it just wasn't the same. It never is when you try to recreate something. It still makes me want to cry.

So, my advice: be very careful when you're clicking buttons. Make sure it's the right one. Make sure you're saving it in the right slot. Make sure that, when you're deleting something, you're deleting the right thing. It's not worth the heartache.

... Bye

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon #3

Hullooooooo!

Part 3 of my Spyro walkthroughs! I'm starting to love doing these. It's such a fun way to waste time.

I love this level because it is so pretty! It's such a lovely level and I can't help but take my time and glide around a little bit. There's also quite a lot of things to find, including a heck of a lot of blue gems. So, I better get started...

This level will haaaaave:

19 Blue gems
3 Red gems
3 Green gems
4 Chests of Armour
1 Elite Enemy

This level starts in the Cheetah Village with Spyro and Cynder helping the Cheetahs fight off a bunch of flying Grublins which have set their village on fire. Now, if you're careful enough, you can unlock one of the bonus galleries. This is where I try to get 150 hits to unlock the... allies? I think it's the allies gallery. To do it, just shoot the Grublins a couple of times with Cynder's poison and it should spread through them. Then stand back and don't attack and your hits will slowly build. You might not get it first time, but there's plenty of opportunities as a lot of Grublins appear at this point. And if you can't do it at all, don't worry, there's a lot of other opportunities in the game to do it.

A cutscene will come up after the first few sets of Grublins are gone. It shows what Sparx believes to be dragons. These lizard-like things are actually quite easy to defeat with Spyro's ice breath. Shoot them with that and they'll freeze up. Then it just takes a few hits to kill them. Keep fighting off the lizard-dragons and flying Grublins until they're gone and it should cut to a video with the Cheetah's talking about Meadow going missing. If it doesn't, walk towards the save point at the top of the village and it will start. When the video is finished you can save. Next to the save point, Hunter is tied up. Behind him is a ledge that leads out onto the valley.

Now comes the fun and pretty part. Jump down to the right from this ledge and follow the outside of the fence and you'll find the first blue gem. From here, you can either follow the story first and collect all the gems and things later, or the opposite. I like to collect the gems first, so we're going to ditch Meadow just now and come back for him later. If you want to do the story first, I start doing it with the paragraph that starts 'story time!'. There's a few things that I will have already done that you won't have, like knock down the tree bridge, but just do it along the way.

This is just my preference, but I suggest that you fly everywhere here. It's much better than running around on the floor and you can see everything from the air. Some of you might be thinking 'but who cares? It's just a game. I just want to know where the gems and things are' but I would say that they didn't take time making such a beautiful level for it to be ignored. Some guy had to sit and design this whole thing and I'm appreciating his work. So there. Right, I'll get on with the game now.

Follow the river upstream towards the waterfall. Behind the big tree on the left is a red gem. As you pass the mini volcano a few Grublins might appear. There's a couple of these little patches around the level. You don't have to defeat them, but if you want to feel free. Keep flying towards the waterfall and behind a group of trees on the left is a blue gem. Beside the waterfall there's some vines to climb up. At the top of these you'll find another blue gem and a armour chest. Behind this waterfall is where Meadow is. Like I said before, I'm ignoring him just now, but you can go through if you want to. There's a bunch of enemies to defeat which I'll mention later on.

Okay, I'm going to use the river a lot to describe what I'm doing. If you follow it downstream you'll meet a section where it splits both ways around an island. Follow the right path first and keep going until you reach the big rock on the right. At the bottom of this, beside a little ledge, is a blue gem. From there, you should see another waterfall. To the right of this, in front of a group of trees, is another blue gem. Now, walk towards the waterfall. Jump up onto the ledge and there will be a mark on the wall like it has been scraped. You can run along this by jumping towards it and holding circle. At the other side you'll find vines to climb up that will take you behind the waterfall and back here is another chest of armour. Go back to the big rock and behind it there's a ledge you can jump up on. From here you'll be able to jump up onto the big rock and there's a blue gem.

There's another rock that you'll see. You can fly down to this and collect another blue gem and a green gem. Keep following the river and on the right there's a sort of wind turbine poking up through the trees. This is where the orbs are kept that you'll need later on. It's sort of hidden away in the trees a little bit. Opposite this storage room is a blue gem. On the river there is a little box thing that controls the rods across the river. Turn this wheel to move them so you don't have to do it later on. There's also another blue gem on a ledge next to this. Run up this side of the river and on the right there will be another blue gem hidden away in the trees. Fly along the path and you'll eventually come to some flying Grublins that, again, you don't have to defeat. Past them is a blue gem.

Okay, jump across to the other side of the river and we'll do this side now. Follow the river down  until it gets to the corner. Here there will be a big rock on the right. There's a little path beside this and up it on a ledge beside the mana gem is a blue gem. Also in the trees here, to the left of the mana gem, is another blue gem. Around the corner is a third waterfall. Beside this there's two blue gems. Push the tree over to make a bridge across the river so you don't have to do it later. Follow the river around the corner and on the right you'll eventually find a blue gem against a cliff wall.

Right, that's almost all there is around the valley. On the opposite side of the river from that blue gem you might be able to see another wind turbine. These sort of mark the important spots on this map. This one is for the Elite Enemy of this level. Fly over and there will be vines on the wall and another scrape to run across to get to the level the enemy is on. Mine has a helmet for Spyro's electric breath, but I think this changes each time. If you leave and come back, I'm sure he appears with a different helmet and he'll also have a full life bar. So try not to fall off the side. First though, there's a ledge at the back of the area with a mana gem. To the left of this, across a hole in the ground, there's a red gem. There's also a blue gem where the enemy is but I always wait until after he's gone to get that.

From the ledge where the mana gem is Spyro can hit him with his electric breath. It's easy to stand there and just zap him for ages after his helmet is gone and keep topping up your mana. I normally do this, but I just tried there the now to hit him while I was doing it and I died so I'm going to try other methods until I find one that works. Now he has a red helmet for Cynder's fear. Ugh, I hate this guy. He's really hard to defeat and I can't really find a way that works. I found a way! Okay, so use Cynder's shadow breath to get him in the air. Then jump up and grab him with circle and, because he's a bigger enemy, the only thing you can do is repeatedly press square. Keep doing this and he'll eventually die, but try not to let him hit you. There! Now we can move on. You can go back to the Cheetah Village to save if you want.

Story time! Go back to the first waterfall and fly through it to the cave. Follow the path around and you'll come out into a cavern. Walk towards Meadow and it will be revealed that it's a trap! Oh no! The guy that appears looks a lot like the Elite Enemy, but he is no where near as hard to defeat. Zap him with Spyro's electricity and he'll drop his axe. It's then safe to hit him. When he's gone a bunch of flying Grublins will appear and a few more Axemen. There's loads to fight off, so keep doing what you've done before and eventually they'll stop coming. I love it when you use Spyro's electric breath and if you hit them at just the right time, when they're about one hit from dying, the electricity kills them straight away and there's, like, a bang and they just disappear. It's really cool. Anyway, when they're gone a cutscene will start with Meadow. After that an armour chest appears. Then you can leave the cave.

The Hermit's passageway is beside the waterfall that is next to the tree you knocked over to make a bridge. Opposite the opening is a wall with vines. To the left of this is a cave. Follow this right around and at the end you'll find a red gem. Go back and the cave splits two ways. On the left you'll find a blue gem and also the way out. Go back to the vines on the wall and  jumps along them until you get to a ledge. Jump along these ledges and you'll get to a scrape to run along. At the end of this one press cross to get across to the opposite ledge. Knock over the tree, jump along the vines to the ledge, jump across to the opposite ledge and jump down to the area below. Here, you'll have to fight a bunch of skeletal Apes. I find the best way is to use Cynder's shadow breath. You can also grab them and tap cross, square or triangle. It doesn't really matter. Loads of them appear so it takes a while.

When there gone a cutscene will start. After it get the blue gem. There's also a green gem up the vines on the wall beside it. At the top run along the wall to the ledge. Opposite this there's a ledge with vines to get to the top. I would run along the wall to the Hermit's cave to get the chest of armour before saving. Fly along the river back to the passageway that leads to the valley. Find the storage room that you were at before. The wind turbine is there to mark it's spot and also one of the two sets of river blocker things. Take one orb just now. Go straight when you come out of the room towards the waterfall. I suggest walking at this point as the orb weighs you down and once you fall off the edge to fly above the river there's only certain spots that let you back on the ground. Pass the waterfall to the big rock and behind this there's a small ledge with vines on the wall beside it. Follow these up the wall and to the right to the ledge. Here, the vines are above your head. Just double jump and press circle to grab onto them. At the end there's the pad to put the orb down which opens the door to the green gem.

Go back to the storage room and collect another two orbs. This time, do jump down to the river. Follow it to the right where it meets the main one then go left. On the right you'll find a ramp that leads up to the ground. You'll need to do one dragon at a time because the one you aren't playing as can't get up on their own. Get one up then drop their orb as they'll fall back down when you swap back to the other dragon. Once you've got the second dragon up, wait until the first is back beside you before changing to them. Then you can pick up the orb you dropped. Run along the edge of the river and cross the tree bridge. Keep going into a group of trees until you hit the wall then go right. Here, there's vines on the back wall. Again, you'll need to do one dragon at a time but you don't have to drop the orb once you've got the first dragon over. Here, beside the save point, is where you drop the orbs to release the raft. Have one dragon on the raft using circle to grab it and swap to the other to pull it by flying up the river.

You'll be stopped by the second lot of the things used to block the river. Jump off the raft and head over to fight the Axemen and flying Grublins that have appeared. A few lots of them appear before you can get rid of the river blocks and continue up the river with the raft to Meadow's cave.

And that's it! There will be a cutscene with the lads from the Cheetah Village but that's basically the end of the level. If you chose to do the story first, this would be when you'd go back and get the gems and things that I got first. The level is over but you still get a chance to run and fly around if you're bored and feel like wasting some time. If you're ready to move on to the next part then save at the save point beside you and then go talk to Hunter who's waiting to move on to Warfang with you.

This has been a really long post... but there's lots to do and collect in this level. The next level takes you to the war that's happening. I just watched the opening cutscene and have to roll my eyes because a building falls over and Hunter tells Spyro and Cynder that they can't get through even though they are dragons and they can fly over it. Anyway, I'll be making a walkthrough for that level at a later date.

Hope you enjoyed this!

Eddie the Eagle

Hullo!

I've just been out for dinner and I am stuffed. Like, I'm at least twice the size I used to be.

Anyway...

Last night I went to see the film Eddie the Eagle. I didn't really want to see it, but my friend could only go later on and it was either that or the Batman/Superman movie. It wasn't until we were sitting in the screen that I doubted my decision to go see the movie about the famous ski jumper. I didn't really want to see that or the superhero movie, I wanted to go see Zootropolis, but we couldn't make the last showing.

Turns out, I shouldn't have worried. The film was amazing. I hardly stopped smiling the whole way through. I loved Taron Egerton in Kingsman: The Secret Service and this film only made me love him more. As far as I could tell, he was amazing at portraying Eddie Edwards.

It was so easy to smile and laugh through the whole thing. Yes, you're laughing at Eddie, but you're supposed to, and it's in a good way. Like, for example, when he decides to move to Germany to pursue ski jumping and a conversation sort of like this happens.

Eddie: mum, have you seen my camping bag?
Mum: it's in the cupboard. Are you going camping?
Eddie: no, I'm moving to Germany.

Oh, okay then, see you later! It wasn't exactly like that but you get the picture. He's just so determined! I was constantly wanting to scream 'no' at him every time he went onto bigger jumps because I just saw him falling and hurting himself. He just didn't seem to have any awareness of his own safety. He landed the 40m jump once and went straight onto the 70m! Like... Calm down!

I loved it. Every scene with Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman was fun to watch. When Jackman first appeared they don't show his face straight away, but it was obvious it was his entrance. I turned to my friend and said 'give you a tenner if you can guess who that is' and she laughed because it was like, here he comes, this is him.

The number of crashes they showed too! Oh my goodness I cringed away from every one and hid behind my hands and everything! It looks terrifying! There's a moment (quite a big spoiler here but not really and it's not as if I haven't already ruined things before) when Eddie does the 70m and he's flying through the air. In the moment that it becomes obvious he's not going to land, the cinema was silent. It was so quiet and all you heard was me whisper 'oh no' and then he fell and ended up in hospital. My friend did laugh at me then. But you couldn't help but love him and I didn't want him to get hurt. I just felt so absorbed in the story and you felt Eddie's joy, disappointment and determination. I really wanted him to succeed and was annoyed when he didn't.

Summary? Go see it. It's so, so, so, so good! Just everything about it was brilliant. Although Jackman's character was fictional, I really loved the relationship between him and Eddie. I like that they did that instead of having a bunch of different people give Eddie advice without one constant person with him, like what I think happened in real life.

Such a good movie! Highly recommend it!

(Just added that picture of Taron Egerton because... you know... he's absolutely stunning and I might think he's super hot... just saying).

Making big decisions

Hullo!

I'M IN A VERY HYPER MOOD!!

Oh my goodness I'm just so BUZZING!!

It's been a big couple of days for me! Lots of decisions being made and things changing! It's exciting!

So, I've written a post about my dad and how much of an ass he is. Something happened the day before yesterday that really set it in for me that I don't need him in my life. I don't need his attitude affecting me. So... I acted on a thought I've been having for a while, and I changed my name! My mum and dad are divorced and my mum has re-married, but I still have my dad's name. It's a horrible name and I've never, ever heard of another person with this second name. Nobody knows how to pronounce it or spell it. I've finally changed my name to match my mum's new name and the name of my step-family. It's a massive thing for me but my mum said this would be a good time to do it; while I'm leaving school and filling in forms for new things. It's so strange to hear it with my first name after 17 years of my old second name... And it's a nightmare changing everything on social media and stuff!

The second big thing is that I got a job! I applied for a new job a few weeks ago but as they had just taken on new people I didn't get accepted straight away. A few days ago I got an email telling me that I got an interview. I went to the interview the day before yesterday and yesterday I found out that I was accepted! So I'm going to a welcome meeting tomorrow. I'm so excited. I can't wait to start making my own money again. I haven't been able to get another job since I left my last one last... October time? And it's even better because my brother and sister both work there along with my other brother's girlfriend and a bunch of other people I know. Jasmine also wants to start there but can't till May because of her age.

Anyway...

Last, but not least, is that I applied for college. I wasn't originally going to go to college and it's very last minute so I might not get accepted. It's for a travel and tourism course which I thought might help towards becoming a cabin crew member. A bunch of people have suggested it and my cousin's girlfriend said her friend done it then went on to work for Emirates. So hopefully it helps and if not I'm going to re-apply next year.

I've been worrying so much about the future for the last few months. I've been really upset and panicking, and now it's all sorted within a matter of days! It feels so weird knowing that I don't have to worry about anything. If I don't get accepted to college I still have a job, and it feels like such a relief to have a plan A and B sorted.

My advice to you: don't do what I did. Don't sit worrying and fussing about the future, but do nothing about it. If you know what you want to do, then do everything in your power to get it done. Apply for a bunch of colleges, universities and jobs. Don't leave it too late. Research what you want to do and figure out what you need to do to get to your dream job. Nothing is impossible. If you want to work in some far away country doing some random thing nobody has heard of, then go do that. Nobody is stopping you but yourself and the limits you put on yourself. If money is a problem, do what I'm going to do and take a couple of years off and get a good job to save. Maybe do another course in the meantime that could help?

You can do anything you want, but you have to have the determination and put in the work to reach your goals.

I'm looking forward to the future now, rather than dreading it. I've even thought about what it would be like to live by myself, which I've never even considered before. I feel so happy! I just want to share it with everyone!

Okay, that's me done with the encouragement speech.

Bye-Bye!

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon #2

Hullo!

Now, I wasn't going to do too many of these in a row, 'cause I don't want it to look like all I talk about is games, but I'm bored and in the mood for Spyro. So, here goes the second part of my Spyro walkthrough: Twilight Falls!

In this level there will be:
7 Blue gems
1 Red gem
2 Green gems
2 Chests of Armour
1 Elite Enemy

This one starts just after the escape from The Catacombs with Spyro and Cynder flying down this big waterfall and Hunter jumping along below. Fly straight and when you come out onto the waterfall the screen will just sort of tilt down. Head towards the purple light save point which is pretty noticeable. Straight away you'll have to fight flying Grublin things. They're as easy to defeat as normal Grublins but you need to jump a bit more to get a hold of them.

After they're gone you'll be able to save and also collect the blue gem that is on the ledge beside it. Here, I'd like to suggest that you use some of you're blue gems to upgrade Spyro's Earth power as you'll need it to be at level 2 to defeat the Elite Enemy in this level.

(Yes, again, that is my top in the background of the second picture. I tried to fix it but, hey, I'm not perfect)

Right-y-o! Run towards the screen and it turns around and there's another blue gem beside the waterfall. If you cross the river to the other side there's a rock that juts out that you can jump up on. If you jump up it and follow the waterfall up a bit and over a few more ledges there's another blue gem in the water. Then jump back down to the grass and there'll be a few more flying Grublins that you don't necessarily have to fight but I like to make sure everything is done so I do it anyway. Nothing happens if you don't. (I don't think).

If you follow the grass around there's a bunch of vines growing and covering a blue gem. Just use Spyro's Fire breath like last time. Follow the path around and you'll get back to the river. Jump over and this is where Hunter is waiting for you. You'll have to fight two lots of Grublins and then this elephant thing. The elephant is easy to defeat, just keep hitting him with Spyro's Electricity and Cynder's Shadow. Try not to get too close because he does this sort of like purple electric storm thing around him that is hard to get away from. He's not as scary as he looks.

When he dies a blue gem will be revealed. There's also a green gem in the clearing and a blue gem tucked up between the rocks against the cliff wall. Now, opposite the cliff wall is a pathway that leads to another load of vines. Through these is the first armour chest of this level. Armour can be found in the start menu. If you get a whole set, like down the way with a helmet, back plate and the ankle things, then it gives you special abilities or something that helps with attacking and stuff. The first set doesn't come for a little while though, after you've got quite a few of them.

Right, this is where you need Spyro's Earth to be at level 2. If you don't have it then you can't do this next bit but there's still another blue gem in this level, so you can go get that first if you need it and come back. If that's not enough then you'll need to leave the Elite Enemy and come back later to defeat him.

Jump up the ledges on the cliff wall to a little tunnel. At then end of this there will be the second green gem. Jump down the other side at the bottom of the big swirly twister and stock up on life and mana. If you fly into the twister, it'll take you to where the Elite Enemy is. There's also an armour chest, but ignore that until after you've fought this guy. Okay, you'll need Spyro's Earth power and you'll need to use R1 instead of the usual R2. This uses up the mana quicker, so don't go crazy, but it's the best and easiest way to get rid of this enemy. His mask will come off quickly, then you can attack him as normal. Oh! Mine came off with one bullet. Easier than I remember. Like the last Elite Enemy, don't let him hit you too much.

Right, after you've opened the chest, go back to where you fought the elephant guy. Behind Hunter is a tree that you push over to get to the next, and final, area. Use one of the dragons to climb up the vine on the wall and go as high and as far right as possible. Then, switch to the other dragon and press and hold cross. It'll start to swing and you do this to get to the red gem on the right. Swing up to the top of the cliff and there will be a final blue gem. After you've got it head over to Hunter and you'll be able to press circle to go to the next level.

There you go! The second level of Spyro. There weren't as many pictures this time which wasn't on purpose. I just didn't take as many while playing. It's quite a short level and everything is contained in a small space so easy to find. I hope that I made everything clear and you found everything! Next time I'm definitely going to take more pictures because I love how pretty the next level is. The whole game is so well designed and the artwork is just beautiful.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this walkthrough, I know I enjoyed making it. I'll do the next level sometime soon.

Bye-Bye!

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon #1

Hullo!

Okay, so I've decided to start writing about useful stuff now, and kind of stop writing about random things about nothing. I'm going to continue with the book reviews, because I like to talk about books once I've finished them.

This post might be a bit long, I'm not entirely sure yet, but it's going to look at the first chapter -called The Catacombs - of the game The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. I love the Spyro games and this one is my favourite. I know where everything is and know how to defeat most (if not all) of the enemies. So, I want to pass on my lovely wealth of knowledge. I may not be the best at the game, or know everything about it, but I'm proud of the fact that I've done it all myself with no help from the internet.

Okay, so I'm going to be playing this on the PlayStation 3 and by myself. Two players is super fun for this game, though. I'll try to add as many pictures as possible, too. I'm so excited! Okay, let's start playing...

So! I'm going to trust that you're not stupid and are capable of starting the game by yourself. The game starts with a short video about the little bad guys getting Spyro and Cynder out of the big yellow crystal thing. I'm sure you would know why they're in it if you had played the previous game to the end, but I haven't so I don't know. You also see Hunter for the first time and Sparx! Love Sparx. If you want to skip it just press start and it gives you the option to skip the cutscene but I always like to watch them.

You start off with both Spyro and Cynder joined to the circle thing on the floor that you can't break till later. The little bad guys, which are called Grublins I think (they are, I Googled it), come down to beat you up. They're really easy to kill by pressing square or triangle. You can also grab them by pressing circle then tapping square, triangle or cross to swing them around and stuff and kill them. Oh yeah, and if you hold triangle you'll knock them up into the air where they'll stay for a while or you can jump up to get them with cross and do the circle-grab thing again. You'll fight two lots of the Grublins before the big scary Golem comes up.

Now you can break the circle trap on the ground. Press circle next to it and tap square to break it. You'll be free to fly around now by pressing cross three times (fly! I love that he can fly. It's great. I fly around for the sake of it sometimes. It's so much fun). The Golem is really easy to defeat. He'll put his hand down on the left (the message comes up telling you to hit his hand) and you hit his hand with triangle until he shouts and pulls it away. He'll then start swinging his arm around but just jump down to the little ledge right beside where he put his hand until he's done having his tantrum. Then you can just jump back up and hit the hand again. You have to do that 3 times and then the next video thing will start.

Okay, now fly up to where Hunter is and another video will be shown about their conversation. Right! Now the game really begins. Swap between Spyro and Cynder by pressing L2, like the message says (just in case you missed it). The little jars and things all around the edge of the room can be broken by hitting them and they give you blue gems that can be used to upgrade your different powers. You don't have to do it cause it takes ages but nobody is stopping you. If you head to the right you'll find some red gems which raise your health bar. The dragon you're not playing as won't lose health while fighting enemies which is great if you're in a battle with no easy access to red gems. If you're playing as Spyro and his health gets low, just jump to Cynder and you'll have a full health bar to play with. Easy! Okay, now through the little gap in the wall.

(Yes, those are my tartan pyjama bottoms at the bottom of the second photo. I'm not an expert picture taker. Leave me alone.)

You don't have to jump over all the little island bits like Hunter, just fly over them and Spyro will land on the one you're supposed to. Okay, it tells you here you can glide by holding cross. I'm not an expert at gliding. I don't really get it. The most I know about flying is you press cross three times to get in the air, keep pressing cross to flap and stay in the air, tap cross rapidly to do this air tornado thing and press and hold cross for a bit then let go and Spyro will drop to the ground. Anyway, Golem will appear and you just wait until you can press the button that comes up at the bottom of the screen then he'll shove you through a wall into the next bit.

Use the purple light thing at the back of the room to save (make sure you don't save over previous games, I've done that loads of times, it's so annoying). Then fly down to the next room and the green gem. They're for getting mana so you can use your powers which are also given to you in the video that plays when you get down there. Each dragon gets four powers you use by pressing R2. Spyro: fire, electricity, ice and earth. Cynder: poison, wind, fear and shadow. My favourites are fire, poison and shadow. Now you have to fight a bunch of Grublins the same way you did at the start. When fighting the Grublins, if you do the circle-grab thing and tap triangle, the Grublin you swing around hits those standing around you as well, so you can hit more than one of them at the same time. Once you've done that use Spyro's fire to get through the vines. There's two sets. The ones at the back of the room take you to a red gem and the ones on the ledge where Hunter is takes you to the next part of the level.

There's a blue gem at this first platform bit. Flick the switch on the right of the door by pressing circle then tapping square to change the platforms on your right. Pick up the orb at the front on the left which weighs you down so you have to jump up the platforms rather than flying. Once at the top use Spyro's electricity to zap the switch on the right that changes the platforms on this level. This switch gradually changes so you can't take too long getting to the top. Also, it can be annoying playing one player here because whichever dragon you aren't playing with takes ages and doesn't keep up very well, but be patient and take your time and it's easy. Don't go through the door straight away. Go back into the room with the moving platforms and keep going left on the highest platforms until you hit the wall. Then fly towards the screen and you'll find a fancy red gem which goes towards making your health bar bigger. Hit it the same way as the others.

Okay, go through the door now. There's a lot of gems and things in this section. If you drop down to the right straight after going through the door there's a blue gem. After that fly towards the screen and it'll turn and you'll see a fancy green gem on a platform further out. This goes towards increasing the size of your mana bar. If you go back to the door you came through you'll see a blue gem on a high platform near the back of the room. There's also a switch you need to use in roughly the middle of the room which turns one of the big pillar things.

Now you need to climb all the vines and jump between the platforms to get to the next bit. Grab them by pressing circle like when attacking the Grublins. The path is easy to follow. Hunter does it first and you follow him and the camera also turns to show you where to go. Oh, and an easy way to drop of the vines is by pressing circle. It means you won't go flying off the things and fall off the platforms. There's two blue gems along the way. At one of them it comes up with a message telling you that you can update your powers. You do this in the start menu.

Right. Golem will turn up when you get to where Hunter is. He doesn't do much. Just focus on jumping across the vines on the wall. Avoid the areas where the water starts to sort of bubble cause that's where he'll be hitting next. You'll get to a part with a huge vine covering the wall. If you follow this all the way to the left you'll find a blue gem.

Now follow the vines all the way to the right, jump up onto the platform and you'll have to press cross to avoid being hit by the Golem's fist. This'll bring up another video and afterwards you'll have to destroy the black gem in his arm. After it shows him screaming in pain and stuff and falling off the edge, don't go through the door. Instead, drop down off the side where his arm was, right down to the floor. There's a blue gem on the edge where the Golem was standing that was revealed when he first appeared. There's also one right beside it, hidden in a little nook to the left. Okay, now go to the back corner, to the right of the door you first came through. Once in the corner, a message will come up telling you that you've found an Elite Enemy. It's basically a special Grublin that wears a helmet.

Mine is wearing a black helmet that is for Cynder's shadow power. That means I have to get the helmet off using that power. The helmet comes off after a couple of hits, then you can fight him using the normal buttons for any other Grublin. I hate this bit because the stupid black lighting he zaps you with takes away a good chuck of your life and you die after he hits you, like, twice. So be careful and remember you can switch between the dragons and make use of each of their life bars.

Once he's gone go back up to where you hit the Golem's arm. You can use the bridge he created when he hit the pillar that's right next to where the Elite Enemy appears. Jump over to where Hunter is standing and you'll find a blue and red gem and also another save point. Jump up and to the right and you'll find Hunter standing there. Beyond him the next room. Right at the front on the left is a blue gem. Jump up the vines to the ledge after you've got it. This next room is the final room of this chapter. Turn the wheel thing right next to the door and after a bit a bunch of Grublins will show up. After you've defeated them you can turn the wheel the rest of the way and the horn will come down to the floor.

Blow into the horn with Cynder's wind power until the door opens and - once again - Golem appears. He'll snatch Cynder up and you've to tap square repeatedly so Spyro can pull her free. After that they'll all run through the door and that passage leads you to the next chapter.

So, there you go! The first chapter of The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. If you read this and it helps any, please let me know in the comments. I'm going to do the second chapter at some point, too. Also, please tell me if there's any way I can make it clearer as to what I'm doing and if you would like more/less pictures.

Bye-Bye!
